ECCR European Cultural Route of Reformation FIRST TRANSNATIONAL WORKSHOP
ECRR is the first regional development initiative in Central Europe that aims at capitalizing upon the rich Reformation heritage. With the aim of connecting reformation cultural heritage sites and legacy widespread around Europe and making use of suitable momentum with the Reformation Jubilee in 2017, European Cultural Heritage Year in 2018 and the increasing worldwide demand for touristic offers, ECRR will create the first transnational cultural route network, focusing on Reformation-themed cultural heritage in Central Europe, applying for its official recognition by the Council of Europe in 2019.
On 7th and 8th December 2016, Project Partners, Associated Partners and experts from different European countries, will gather in the frame of the first Transnational Workshop in Wroclaw, Poland. The main objective of this workshop is to develop and agree upon a first draft of a common definition for “Reformation-themed Cultural Heritage”. The conceptual base will derive from three work papers presented on the first day and on the results of three different working groups, concentrating on: the Touristic value of Reformation, the Cultural Heritage value and the Theological-Historical value of Reformation. This first draft of definition will set the foundations to develop a common strategy for the transnational cultural route network.
The event is open to the public, on 7th December from 1pm to 5 pm and on 8th December from 9 am to 3pm. Registration is required at the following link before 20th November 2016:
